The Halton District School Board (HDSB) has decided to begin using 'cloud computing' through Google Docs. What this means is every student and staff member of the HDSB has an account to create, store, and retrieve data through Google Docs. This work is saved automatically here and is a very powerful tool in terms of allowing work to be shared. Students log in to Halton Cloud here: HALTON CLOUD by using the same login they use to log into any board computer or CHATT.
We have also started using google classroom, which is an educational app associated with Halton Cloud. Assignments, resources and videos will be posted and students will be encourage to submit assignments, post comments or complete homework questions in the classroom.
Halton cloud and google classroom are both secure networks and can only be accessed by members of the HDSB. It can be accessed on any device that can access the internet and is best viewed using GOOGLE CHROME as a browser.
